I don't know about the hounds, but it will get your neighbors attention, well, if you have a neighbor

Very nice work I have coon hunted with a friend and his hounds but never used a horn to call them,excellent way to spend a night with the dogs and Mr.Ring tail.
 
Really nice. You need a video of it being blown so we can see if it sounds as good as it looks. :)

Spence, A cyber friend of mine did put the sound of it on youtube but I'll be darned if I can find it. I am sorely lacking in computer skills.

I was a coon hunter for 40+ years and we all ways called the hounds with a horn! cow horn that is. we called it mountain music.
 
I make the tool's from concrete nails, usually with straight points or skew chisel shapes, re-harden them and mount them in wooden dowels. Thank you.
