Just testing the picture insertion format, but this a bag and flask I made for a Jaeger rifle I have in the queue.

Thank you Pukka. The coat of arms is an actual coat under my surname in Germany that I found while looking for something else, so I took some 'license', hah. Mine is an old time Anglo-Saxon name, I figure he probably ramrodded a company of English mercenary archers, as was the custom back in the day, and some how earned his spurs in Germany, when they rang the bell, he came! Well, thats my read on it read it.

That has yet to be decided. I have the two best books available on the subject. I have one gun to go before I proceed, so there is plenty of time for research, which has become a very enjoyable part of the process. Input is always welcome.

Apart from Generic, I only have Geo. Shumway's book, Robby.
There are a few I like in there though! I'll have a look.. As you say, deciding what and from where is a very enjoyable part of it.
It'll Have to be nice to go with that bag and flask! :)

Yes, the Shumway book and this one I used when I made my first ones. The other is The Holy Grail of Jaegerism. Jim Chambers had them for sale when it first came out along with the unillustrated book in translation to English. It is a very fine book of high quality with dozens of very precise illustrations from multiple geographic locations.

Thank you Bill. I'm retired and these days work too slow to make a real go of it as a means of earning a living, but as I have heard, it beats the alternative. Thank you again, much appreciated.

A whole lot of fine work there, stretching from historic research to personal connection to design and execution. You've created a dandy heirloom that should pass down through your family for a century. Or two or three!

Hi Robby

Great looking bag and flask to say the least. Even has that Jaeger "Theme" to it, if you know what I mean ? Outstanding work.

Most impressive!! And beautiful! All of your research, genealogy and artistic skill coming together...You are truly gifted. These pieces are museum quality. I hope to see the rifle that will complete the set.

Thank you for sharing.
