Welcome to the Forum! :hatsoff:

You have come to the right place. There is a wealth of information and experience here free for the asking.

Yee-hah! & Heidi Y'all! Welcome to the addiction! The stuff is evil and will steal your soul! :haha: Actually, it's tons of fun and when you jump in, never fear about asking questions...and there will be questions. I'm just a couple years behind you and got hooked way long ago when Fess Parker did his Davy Crockett thing and I was gloriously hooked! As a new guy to all this, I'd recommend you spend some time reading our old Spence's page. He mostly uses his fowler but there are rifle stories...his tables of info are great. Old guys knew stuff! He bothered to write it down for posterity...I was too busy trying to grow hair back from being careless!

Howdy Tommy, sorry for being late I've been away from this evil desk top. I got the black powder bug in 1980 when my 8th grade shop teacher asked who wanted to build a rifle in class? Of the 4 that built M/L rifles; I'm the only one who still has his rifle.
I'm with Wes...like cooking a fine meal one should spend some time reading about it and the ingredients needed. Or something like that..
Welcome aboard.
