I'm retired LEO from California and have just acquired a CVA Hawkens .50 and a Traditions Navy/Colt .44. I'm new to BP and found this forum while searching the web for tips and suggestions shooting BP. I love shooting the Hawkens but have a lot of questions regarding the revolver. Hopefully I can get these questions/concerns answered here.

Welcome to the Forum. :hatsoff:

And Thank You for your Service.

You have come to the right place. You can click on the Handguns" forum, and scroll through headings of past threads (you will find a setting near the bottom of the page where you can review the entire history of threads!)

Or just open a new thread and state what problems you are having with the "Navy/Colt .44", one of the brass frame Navy Colts chambered in .44 - the gun that never existed back then. It is a very popular gun here on the Forum.

Someone will answer with a link to threads where the problem has been discussed or, as likely, will just address the problem you're experiencing.
