Hi all.
I have been into black powder for some years now but for awhile I have been away from it. I was recently back in Canada and had a look at my guns and the interest came back. I first built a CVA .54 Hawkins then bought a .58 civil war replica. I am now looking at another Hawkins with flintlock and full stock. Although I have owned BP for a long time I can not really contribute because of lack of experience but hope to gain alot of information from this forum.

kswan,
Welcome to the MLF. Remember even a good
question is a contribution. So don't worry about asking any questions. :hatsoff:

I am living just outside of Göteborg on the west coast. Yes there are alot of those military BP guns still around. Some still being used by re en-actors.

Good Day Sir!
My wife and I are going to be in Sweden over the Christmas Holiday. I am always interested in how difficult obtaining black powder for my flintlocks might be if I planned to throw a little hunting/shooting into my plans. My wifes Great Great Grandmother is from Sweden. She still has relatives in Sweden.

Welcome to the club!!

Thank you.

It was by visiting my family here in Sweden that I met my wife and am now living here. I leave all my guns stored in Canada but from speaking to my cousin who does a lot of hunting, it seems restrictions are pretty tight with regards to guns/ammunition. Hope you find a way to get some hunting done.
