I put a deer bone handle on this store-bought blade. The handle is pinned and has a poured bolster. I stained the bone to antique it a bit. GW

Pewter bolster. You need to make a dam out of something like a business card then pour the metal. Some file and sanding work after that.

The stamp was on the blade when I bought it. Dunno what it is sposed to signify but since my first name starts with "L" I just left it on.

Very nice GW! I really like the natural groove you got on the underside of the bone handle. I bet it holds comfortably!
 
Normally I detest that style of knife handle, I will admit, I do like that that one.
 
Great looking knife. Deer leg bones make pretty good handles and they color up well. I have one, made by a local guy, who also forged the blade. Very proud of it and it gets a lot of attention.
