The picture of this knife has been etched in my mind for about six months, Dont know why? Figured the best way to get over it was to find time to make it.
No style or era was in mind at the time. Kinda a fantasy piece (if you will). This is my version of of what kept me awake so many nights.

This one features a 7 3/4" blade of 0-1 steel, 5" through tang grip of Birdseye Maple, Iron and brass spacers with Iron threaded button on the pommel, all lightly aged and made by hand.
Hope you enjoy a look. As always all comments welcome.

James isn't it amazing what you can come up with when you do what the voices tell you.
That is a beautiful piece of work and looks to be very usable to boot.

Wow. Might indeed be useable, but I wouldn't want to get so much as a scratch on it. Learned skills can take a craftman only so far; one has to be born with talent like yours.

Bravo!

The file work on the back of the blade and in the two grip spacers compliment each other well. That is a really nice touch. Fantasy or not, that is a very nice knife.
