Yes quite common, I have had an Armisport, a Pedersoli, and an old Zoli. The Zoli was the only one without an oversized bore, the Pedersoli was the largest at .584.
 
Also, just so you know- it is not uncommon for them to have undersized bores, either. Mine comes out at .578. It all depends...

My Zoli Zouave measures 0.570 at the bore. A 0.575 RB won't fit in the barrel.
 
A 570 works great in mine of the same make. .015 ticking gets roughed up pretty good and .018 cures that problem but loading is quite hard. I have a Investarms 58 Hawken that shoots the same ball well with .015. I have read that many use smaller balls with thicker ticking. I will eventually try that I guess because I need a short started with both of these! Geo. T.
