Is anyone aware of any upcoming ML cannon school classes or training anywhere in North America? I have found a few offered from time to time on the Internet, but nothing in 2013 as of yet.

Thanks

I think there is one at Ft. Sill annually, they have live fire and seminars on duties of the piece. N-SSA is good, you may check with a local artillery reenactment unit, I would be surprised if they don't have more info. They cover all periods too, not just the War Between the States, although that is the largest group there.

Fort de Chartres in Prairie du Rocher, IL. has a cannon Safety School. I believe it's in September. Contact the staff at the fort. It's a two day event with a live firing competition at the end of the second day. Very informational and fun. Primitive camping is allowed.
