Didn't have much luck hunting this year. I became ill and missed part of the hunting season. I got better for muzzleloading season and the second day out I bent over to put my boot on and blew my back out, now I'm sitting home, out a work for a while, but thankful it wasn't worse. I will be back next hunting season for sure. :thumbsup:

I was lucky..got to actually see a population of deer durin ml..an invited back next year too I'm already excited..mostly doe but after not seein deer for so long does is a plus!

I feel your pain brother. I'm finally back to work after being out for 4.5 months. Even with that was not allowed to deer hunt, still recovering from surgery. First year in a long time my freezer will be without venison. Overall I can't complain, we'll get em next year.....I hope. :wink:
 
Take care of your back and don't push it ,my wife goes in for spinal fusion next month and only in her 40s good luck with yours the bucks will be bigger next season.

This time of year is bad for us with back issues. The rigors of hunting along with the chill air can be murder to those susceptible.
 
Sorry to hear you're missing out on the muzzleloader season, but I wish you the best with the back issue. I had a disc completely removed 8 years ago after it dumped its contents into my spinal column. The final triggering event was a big sneeze! Never been the same though and always in pain. So I feel for ya man. Do your best to get well.
 
I feel for you, having been in that situation twice before. Fortunately neither time was I on my way to the field which would have been most disappointing. Be thankfull that rest is all you need in order to recover and not a full blown surgical intervention.
 
That's very disapointing.......to have to miss out on hunting. I was a little luckier. My back was ok, until after I shot my first buck this year. The half mile drag without help did me in though. I spent the next two or three days just sitting with heat & dosing up with Advil before I felt good enough to get back out. I feel very fortunate that I haven't had the serious back problems like others here.

I will keep you in prayer Dan. I have a spot in my lower back and in my neck that acts up from time to time because of bad arthritis. I know how ya feel.

Geo T., I say this with a smile on my face, but if you think nursing a cold is in the same realm as dealing with a spinal issue, your kidding yourself! :grin:
