Here's one of a set of boxes I made for a client. The horn part was thick enough for a little turning and the wood is unusual - it's "wormy" cherry. I left it natural as it will darken nicely in time. The "Distelfink", hex circle, and tulips are loose interpretations of PA Dutch Fraktur.
