    I use even a smaller 'fire stick' and get plenty sparks. I also rotate the 'fire stick' for each shot. Wulf

    What have you got to lose if you drill the hole? I wouldn't go over 80 grs. Mic the bore and go under one patch thickness to determine ball size. Just a guess.

    You could also use a diamond file. Works for me. Knapping takes a lot off. The file sharpens it.

    Looks like the back of the lock plate area has been filled it because a Bedford has a long tail.

    Yes...that is quite a blast and just to make sure I use them. Also you can get those fire sticks in 3/8" now. Maybe other size too. I am flattered that you refer to my work too.

    I hope you realize the jet from the vent will hit the pyrite....I put a deflector in place on mine.

    Adding antler veneer to iron or brass blade of front sight?

    I have made some of my front sights out of horn... when I aim at something dark the sights becomes light and when I aim at something light the sight becomes dark. Not too easy and not just a glue on.
