Exploring new locks..how they work and to see if I can make them..I usually make all the parts i need to make the entire gun..maybe a boughten barrel and castings of butt plates. and trigger guards when i don't feel like making my own. onceI made an entire Yaeger because I wanted to make a certain trigger guard.. I like to make fixtures or machinery to do my gun work. Like barrel inlaying and swamping barrels.. tricks to inlaying locks and wooden patchbox lids with a router. I learned six trades so working with tools is not strange to me and i have a wide choice to select from.
