    when I got my PH musketoon brand new it came with a booklet with the recommended loads they recommended a service load of 3and a 1/2 drams of ff powder that is around 95 grains with the PH mini. mine was supper accurate with that load. Bernie :thumbsup:

    if your buffalo hunter is one made by zoli it should have a 1 in 48 twist i took a water buffalo with mine back in the 1980s val forgett of navy arms used one in africa to shoot a lion with a thick skirt 625 grn stake buster mini the load was 125 grn of fff black powder,the story is in the lyman...

    it was val forgett of navy arms that took the hawken and buffalo hunter to africa and the load he used in the hawken was 180 grns of fff under a 625 grn stake buster mini with the same mini and 125 grn of fff was used in the buffalo hunter to take a lion the story is in the lyman black powder...

    sam fadala proved that totaly wrong years ago by shooting round balls into a clay bank the more powder he used the more penetration he got. Bernie :thumbsup:
