WANTED Looking for a wheelock spring

Hello, please help. I have this wheel lock device, that i think (think) is the Nuremberg type (1680-1600), missing the safety catch spring. Do you folks know where i can find spare springs or someone who forges them ? Thank you in advance. .

A Kerr first model (?) revolver. Is it rare ?

Thank you so much for the rating, Mike. Although my query was more on the basis of rarity and abstract value, and considering that my collecting preferences go more towards earlier pieces, i will in this case not exclude the possibility to trade this gun; either sell it or swap it for an item...

A Kerr first model (?) revolver. Is it rare ?

Hi guys,i am awfully sorry for the late reaction :surrender: . Many thanks for your input. There isn't much stuff you can find in the web about this gun, specially the first(single)model and its probable 200 units production. It seems as some (most?) of these initial pieces equiped British...

A Kerr first model (?) revolver. Is it rare ?

Could i have some help here? Is this actually a Kerr's patent 'first model' ? I see that it doesn't either have the current device on the left side (barrel axis lock?) nor the lanyard ring. I fail to discern other differences. It is a .36 caliber, so not part of 'massive' Confederate exports...

    Percussion shotgun of small caliber

I swear i didn't get upset ... word of an also gray (practicaly white and only half bald) collector:thumbsup: . I don't own a gun/s; i own an antique gun/s, which is a little (lot) different  . Well, if you buy a functional reproduction and you don't go shoot it, that doesn't make much...

    Percussion shotgun of small caliber

I got what Semisane meant, but the answer, for me, could have a double aproach, that is, the gun being shootable and/or my willing to shoot it. In my perspective, the fact that the thing was intended for use over a hundred years ago, doesn't make it have the same purpose nowadays. The charm of...
