    Accuracy with Kodiak Rifle

"It is a little silly to ask for accuracy evaluations when he doesn't even have a caliber in mind. And, then we need to know if he is going to be shooting round ball, or conicals, and if conicals, what kind of conicals? Then we need to know if he plans to use real black powder, or is he going to...

    Accuracy with Kodiak Rifle

A friend of mine has indicated that he plans to buy a Pedersoli Kodiak double rifle in the near future. He hasn't decided yet on the calibre (.50, .54, .58). He's asked me to see what I can find out regarding loads and expected accuracy. I have one in .58 calibre but haven't shot it enough to...

    TC Hawken Custom

Snake-Eyes: I ain't Roundball but I can show you the two page spread T/C had in their #22 catalog. It isn't the best picture but it's all I have to work with.

    T/C Barrel swap question.

If Track of the Wolf makes up a custom barrel for a Seneca, I'd say the odds are good that it would be done by William Young. He's the gentleman who made up the .40 calibre Seneca barrel for me and did a fantastic job at a reasonable price. If you're interested, I'd suggest dealing directly...

    T/C Barrel swap question.

OK. I am not a novice, and I understand about manufacturing tolerances. But that is not what I am talking about in this case. I re-mounted the underbarrel lug on my Cherokee barrel and aligned it in the Seneca stock and took the attached photo. Now dispite what T/C may claim, I do not...

    T/C Barrel swap question.

"TC 13/16" Seneca and Cherokee barrels are interchangable (.32/.36/.45cals)" My personal experience is that this isn't exactly an accurate statement. I purchased a .32 calibre Cherokee barrel for use on one of my Seneca stocks. I found that the Seneca forearm is somewhat longer than that of...

    "Custom" Seneca

A week or so ago there was a thread regarding T/C Seneca rifles. I mentioned I had custom barrels made up in .40 and .32 caliber and agreed to post a picture. I got kinda busy and didn't get a picture taken until this morning. This picture is of the .40 calibre with a 32 inch barrel. For...

    T/C Seneca

"10 thumbs, who built your barrels? As much as I like my Seneca, I think I'd rather go that route than buy a seperate .32. Thanks." Plink: The .40 was the first one I had made up and it was done by William Young of Wahkon, MN. He did a fantastic job and his fee was most reasonable. I can't...

    T/C Seneca

At present I have 5 Senecas. A couple of .45s and a couple of .36s. Also I had two custom barrels made up and fitted for Seneca stocks and actions as drop-ins. One is in .32 and the other is in .40. Both have 32 inch barrels and of all my Senecas my favorite is the .40. I have a number of...

    T/C Hawken carbine?

I recall seeing a T/C Hawken just like this at a gun show several years back. If it hadn't been in such awful condition I would have bought it. I asked the owner if he had shortened the barrel and he said it had come from the factory that way. I don't know of T/C ever having produced such a...

    GPR Lock Problems

I know some have encountered this problem with T/C and CVA rifles. In both cases it can usually be solved by removing the lock and tightening the screws on the inside of the lock plate. At least that would be what I attempted first, other than cleaning and lubing.

    Good Find

Hatfields were originally made by Ted Hatfield but I understand that he sold out. They continued to be produced for a period of time before the company was sold again. It's my understanding that not many of the 3rd generation Hatfields were made and that they used Green Mountain barrels and...

    Good Find

A friend and I went to a local gun show yesterday and there, lying on one of the tables, was a mint condition Hatfield. In talking with the seller he said it had been bought new by his uncle 15-20 years ago and that it had never been fired. The condition seemed to support this. It's a .50...
