Ballistol picking up brown in bore?

I think its just surface rust not the damaging pitting kind. Anytime you put water on bare metal surface rust occurs fairly quickly. The ballistol will remove and protect your barrell

    What was your first Muzzleloader?

My first muzzleloader was a Thompson Renegade. I bought it because I liked the brand and the rifle was in like new condition. Since then I purchased a 32" Green Mountain barrel 1/70. It's now a very accurate round ball muzzleloader I shoot in competitions.

Ballistol picking up brown in bore?

The Ballistol is picking up rust from leaving water in the barrel. Surface rust happens quickly but should come right off.

    Lead find

I picked up a dive belt on Craig's list that had several lead weights attached. Short money.
