    Thanks everyone for all the info. I went and did some searching online and found a few molds that would seem to be similar to the idea that was put up about the channel in the wood to cast into but rather than wood they are graphite. I'm going to give them a try and see what results I get...

    I chose 28 gauge mostly because it was different and to save on lead. I had pretty much no other reason which is why it doesn't really bother me too much about being the wrong gauge lol.
