trekking and making shoes since the 1970's, I got diverted for the last fifteen years into Cowboy Action Shooting (The Capgun Kid, SASS#31398). Stopped making shoes in favor of gunbelts and saddles and gave away all my rendezvous gear. Kept my shoemaking tools and bench and all my trekking gear. One day I wandered into Dixon's Muzzleloading shop on my way to a Cowboy Match and this gorgeous flintlock jumped off the rack and stowed away in my car. Now I am doing trail walks everyplace I can find them. Sure glad I kept my personal gear...
