I'm a 65 year old coot originally from the eastern colonies transplanted to the Minnesota frontier years ago. Been shooting black powder sidelocks since sixteen. Originally with a Zoli .58 Remington Zouave (alas, no longer with me). Bought and sold (dang it) more black powder guns than I had sense for. Never any desire for in-lines. Currently have a Hatfield .50 flint with percussion conversion, a T/C Hawken caplock in .50, and another flinter on the way. Maybe scrape enough together for a Kibler Colonial Flintlock some day. Kind of into black powder cartridge but that's for a different forum. Finally bought a Kibler Colonial, fancy maple, in .54. Beautiful rifle, great quality. Built one 30 year old Bill Kennedy kit, working on another.
