    Nock Volley Gun

When you think about it you're touching off half again as much as a 10 bore heavy goose load, sounds like sooooo much fun 😀.

    .45 Caliber: Deer?

A gentleman called WDM Bell pretty well proved that bullet placement trumps energy or diameter even on the largest and thickest hide such as elephant.

    .45 Caliber: Deer?

At reasonable distances. 45 in a rifle works well, in an ROA I've killed 3 blacktails at distances under 50 yards all one shot kills but conditions were pretty darn close to perfect, broadside stationary.

    How loud?

Huh? You need to speak up I'm a little bit hard of hearing in that ear. Sure wish that we had known this and talked about it 60 years ago, maybe I could hear now-a-days.

    rate(s) of twist chosen

Military and builders did an amazing amount of research in several areas including both long range and rate of fire, both of which were of interest to sportsman and Military planers which made money available 😀.

Interesting info from the Lewis and Clark expedition

My predecessors called sticks through the air arrows and thrived quite well for a few thousand years with nothing better.
