Lifetime fascination with history and firearms. Raised by combat vet who was raised by a combat vet, my childhood alternated between harsh reality and the solitude of books and reading about history. My passion is using blackpowder-era weapons as often as possible. My metallic cartridge firearms are all BP in origin, my pistol is an artifact 1858 Remington, and I'm working to return grand-dad's 1851 Whitney -contract rifle to functional condition. Currently, I've been casting Johnston and Dow bullets and making paper cartridges for the Remington. I handload for the '73 Winchesters and my 1889 Marlin.
