paper patching for the .44 Remington pistol

Reading this made me wonder why mfrs don't make the gun so that the rest of the chambers are sealed or nearly sealed to virtually eliminate chain fires. I know a lot of crud builds up when shooting these, but the sealing mechanism for the other chambers may greatly reduce the crud from building...

    Gardening ..again

I was at an educational seminar recently and the presenter mentioned that our fruits and veggies and less nutritious now because they're not allowed to ripen on the plant, since it takes time to ship them to the stores and they don't want them to rot, so homegrown should be more nutritious.

I've never done it. Just thought about it while reading another's post.

    Kibler's .32 caliber SMR.

Since you mentioned the sprue, does anybody casting their own round balls rotate them 90 degrees in the mold and squeeze the mold shut to minimize the sprue?

    Gunbroker Unscrupulous Sellers

I've never had a bad experience with purchases from gunbroker, but I just found another site hibid.com that is an auction aggregator and shows items from many auction sites, but not just guns.

    Hawken Worth

I don't see any reason to be offended either. If someone else does, then take a chill pill. The person is simply asking for info and I don't see any deceptive intention or implication thereof. I also don't see how the hissy fit comment adds any value to this forum.

    Teflon as a patch lube?

Have any of you tried using dry Graphite powder as patch lube or is that impractical? This also made me wonder about rubbing alcohol as a patch lube, at least if you're shooting quickly.

    Greetings from WV

I don't know where you're located in WV, but they used to have monthly shoots on Sundays at 1PM in Maysville, near Petersburg, using the county public gun range right behind that elementary school.

Adding an APERTURE to your glasses so you can SEE the sights!

I'm an optometrist. Progressive lenses aren't all the same, just like guns and cars. Older and cheaper ones will have more distortion when looking through the lens at an angle, but all lenses do, especially in higher prescriptions, and the optical center will have less forgiveness. The...

    Hunting with glasses

I'm an optometrist. The anti-fog wipes and sprays do work rather well, but have to be reapplied. Nearly any prescription can be fitted in contacts, so if a doctor told you that your prescription won't work with contacts, then see a better optometrist. If you have some physical problem with...
