    Current reasonable price for ROA.

I have been buying ROA revolvers for the past 6 years. I was at the Kingman, Az gun show last weekend and bought my 10th ROA. It is new unfired 7.5" Blue Non-Adj. sights. It came with a new unfired Howell .45 Colt Conv. Cylinder. I paid $675 for the set. The Non-Adj. Mdles are more expensive...

    Whats your favorite Tobacco?

I prefer the "Capt. Black." ROYAL. A good quality pipe insures a better smoke.

    Patching material

I have shot at the Texas State ML match a number of times. The "Texas Patch", which is sail cloth coated on one side with Blue Teflon. The patch is lubed on the ball side with a small amount of water. These patches are very remarkable for improved accuracy. You must wipe the bore each time...

    Is A 28 ga Enough?

The big difference is? That little "Pop Up" device on the Butter ball is missing from the wild birds. I think.

    Grits

The best grits ever come from "Bird Mills in Virginia" Google them. Grits have been a staple in Mexico for centuries. Eating instant grits is a sin. :td:

    Casting big bullets

How does a bottom pour pot cool faster than dipping lead and then pouring? It sounds like you have a cold mold. The lead is flowing until it contacts the mold block. If the block is of a lower temp you get wrinkles.

    Molasses against rust

Humm Naval Jelly is a rust remover. Most commercial rust removers are penetrating petro based compounds. I can't imagine covering a ships hull with Black Strap non-sulfur molasses. :idunno:

    Most accurate flintlock rifle caliber?

During the American Revolution many "Brits" fell to the flint lock rifle. Tim Murphy and others were deadly at ranges beyond 300 yards. :)

    Casting big bullets

Heat control alloy and flux determine the fill in a mold. Alloy flow and fill depends on tin. A lead bullet made of a 20-1 lead to tin gives a good fill. A 4 grs. difference on a 460 grs. bullet gives a better fill?

    Conicals in an Uberti

You have some cast bullets for the .44-40 cartridge. These will not work properly in your Uberti.

    Patch or Wad

Hi there Deadeye. :) I have much better luck using a split Circle Fly OP wad. I use half over the powder and half over the ball.

    Casting big bullets

I have never seen any data regarding a ladle poured bullet was better than a bottom pour pot. The type of alloy that is being poured is more important. :)

    CO2 Unloader

They also work great for "Fire Lapping" the bore of a muzzle loader. No powder fowling to impair the the lapping compound. :)
