    Possible Wonder Lube Problem

I have used purple Scotchbrite to smooth up these slightly rough bores, once the Scotchbrite is at the breach I work it in 6" strokes back up to the muzzle. It will also pull all kinds of crud with it. I make a little patch of it that fits pretty tight in the bore with my jag. I thoroughly...

About ten years ago, as an experiment, I left my '60 Army loaded for almost six of them. Five cyl's fired just fine, the other one I didn't load. No rust or corrosion. Whatever you do, don't leave a rifle loaded with a wet patch or wet patch and pyrodex especially. Good friend of mine did that...

    Musket caps

No, I am not even using musket caps at this time, but I want to convert one of my rifles to musket caps strictly because they are easier for my old fingers to handle in the field. I have read a lot about the poor quality of re-enactor caps. Anyway, Powder Inc. has RWS and Scheutzen musket caps.

    Which percussion caps to use?

Thanks, never thought there was much to it, but my accuracy seemed to be better with std. caps. Now, where to source "good" musket caps?
