    From my experience 45cal round ball is enough gun for deer in the right circumstances. Anything bigger and I hunt with 54 cal. Not that you can hunt grizz anymore, but if I could and only had a round ball it would be up around 70 cal.

    I’m planning a move to N.W. Arkansas in a couple of years. My son lives just over the line in Oklahoma and we have family just over the line in Missouri. I spend a month or so there a year. I’m told I need to be there in August to get the full experience..lol So this year we are going in August...

    Your friend is right about starving making knives. I have had that experience myself. I remember his knife, I believe it was gold or gold colored. It was called The “Gem” of the Orient I think. You should talk him into making some gun parts for us..
