Cap And Ball Revolvers For Personal Protection?

Hello Mule Brain, My choice would be a pair of 51's in the 5 1/2" barreled .44 cal. sheriff model. Not PC but my choice none the less. I have small hands and prefer the smaller grip of the 51's over the 1860's. :m2c: :grey: pappydean

    Big bore pistol

Hey Kiehlroy, Loyalist arms lists a sea service pistol in .66 cal. for $256.00 U.S. The barrel is 6 1/2" and is percussion. That should be a great vermon getter! :imo: pappydean.

anyone got anything good to say bout ERA? pics?

I've looked at the pictures, read the negatives and the positives. It is human nature to want perfection at the cheapest price as money is hard earned for most of us and we try to make it go as far as we can. None of us knows why this gun showed up as it did except for the shipper. I would...

    First two shots are duds

dylan, Might I ask what type of powder are you using? I have had similar results when using Goex Clear Shot. Other than that I would think you are having to burn oil out of the barrel as well as getting the barrel fouled. Are your PRB's loading with proper resistance when the barrel is clean...

    Patriot misfires

Teach, Did you put the same brand of nipple on when you changed it? Sounds like the nipple is the problem. The first hammer strike is "seating" the nipple and then the second strike fires it. :imo: pappydean
