    Navy Arms Charleville

The Miruko's I have gotten recently have all been found online or gun shows.

    Navy Arms Charleville

Nicholas: I would not worry too much about the stock unless as you said it is just too banged up. All of the Miruko charlevilles had a 2 piece stock. The forestock is pinned with 2 wooden pins to the rear half. I bought mine in 1977 and the stock separated once about 10 years age. I re...

    Middlesex Village Trading Co

I have watched this thread for quite some time and others discussing Middlesex Village. I have to add my 2 cents. Our Unit has purchased close to a dozen muskets from them and except for a few instances we have had NO issues. I think that unless you spend 1500.00 on a high end musket you...

    SOLD 9GA Flintlock Musket

Yes. DO you know the serial number on it? What are you asking for it?

    SOLD 9GA Flintlock Musket

OK....that makes sense. The lock made me think it was a 1763/66 Charleville. I am looking for the miroku Charlevilles. Thanks for the info.

    SOLD 9GA Flintlock Musket

Can you tell me what the serial number is? It is on the opposite side of the barrel from the touch hole. I can't enlarge the photos but it looks like someone cut down a 1763/66 Charleville? Did you get it this way? What is the total barrel length?

    Quality of the Sikligar products

Well...All I can attest to is that both MVTC and Loyalist get their weapons from India and from what I have seen of those they are pretty decent muskets. For someone that can't afford Pederosoli price they have worked well. We have a few guys in our unit with MVTC muskets and they perform...

    Middlesex Village Muskets

Thanks Guys: (both Bessbattlesystem and Runnball) I appreciate the advice. I think I am spoiled after having my Jap made Charleville for so many years. I really enjoy it. We will probably look into the MVTC muskets. We are going to need about 5 with the present recruit situation. If you...

    Middlesex Village Muskets

Don: Thanks for the reply. The metal does look bright in the photos but as you said a few events with rain or humidity would take care of that. As long as the stocks were not varathaned or varnished they could easily be refinished or let age naturally. Thanks for the help. Chris

    Middlesex Village Muskets

Hey Guys; I have read many discussions concerning different manufacturers and opinions on each but never took notes. Our Rev War unit is experiencing a major growth spurt and we are running out of muskets. Most of the guys have the old Jap 1763 Charlievilles but we do have a few Besses. With...
