    Kibler called

I'm jealous! Someday I'll get myself a kibler or two. Be sure to keep us updated on the progress of the project!

    Pawn Shop Renegade .50

That's as good as it can get using screws to fill the hole! Good work!

    Pedersoli Frontier Rear Sight

For the guys that have a damaged rear sight on their Pedersoli Frontier rifles, Pedersoli now offers a replacement sight on their website. They offered an elevation adjustable rear sight but I emailed them a picture of the factory unadjustable buckhorn sight and they added it to the website...

WITHDRAWN T/C .45 Seneca for sale

Why do you guys always post the good stuff when I have no money!? 🤣 Bump for a beautiful rifle and a heck of a deal!

    Yep, I'm a sissy.

I posted this on the wrong thread, newbie mistake. 🤦‍♂️ For what it's worth I'm a young guy and wear a PAST recoil shield. I've always said if you're recoil sensitive be a real man and admit it, it's not something to be ashamed of its just a fact of life. Some guys can run a mile others have to...

    Hunting with a percussion rifle

I personally have never had a cap come off and I haven't had a AD on half cock and I used to hunt in some pretty thick woods when I was younger.

    Yup... I finally did it

That's exactly what I did. Water and 91% alcohol. Pulled right out slicker than snot.

    Newbie looking for first flintlock

If you have the skills I'd go with the Kibler that's been suggested. I bought the base model Pedersoli frontier last year and while it is a good shooter it lacks the looks of the Kibler and the Pedersoli was only a couple hundred less. I should have sprung for the Kibler especially now that they...

    Pawn Shop Renegade .50

If your plan is to reinsert the screws and file them down I wouldn't even mess with getting them out. Drill out the head and cut them flush. Sights are pretty easy to get for that rifle and fairly cheap. I'd say you got a good deal and a nice little winter project. Good job!

    Lets see those Range Boxes!!

Got mine at wally world for less than $20. I can carry everything I need for 2 rifles plus cleaning accessories and tools. Hyper Tough 22-inch Toolbox, Plastic Tool and Hardware Storage, Black Robot or human?
  11. N

    Yup... I finally did it

I did use my ramrod. I put an old .54 jag in one end and the ball pulled in the other. I clamped the jag in the vice and walked backwards with the barrel. I refuse to give up hoarding, just when I'm about to, that random thing I've had for 5 years comes in handy! I couldn't get enough in there...

A Man Has to Know His Limitations!

For what it's worth I'm a young guy and wear a PAST recoil shield. I've always said if you're recoil sensitive be a real man and admit it, it's not something to be ashamed of its just a fact of life. Some guys can run a mile others have to walk the mile, the outcome is still the same. I'd rather...

    Halfstock, Flintlock Hawkens??

I've been told that the Hawken rifles were the more expensive rifles of that era but they had the reputation to go with the price tag. Iron mounted rifles were inherently cheaper from what I've read but what I couldn't believe was the price between them and the "N.W. Trade gun". I did try to...

    Yup... I finally did it

I did but the ear still isn't perfect. It will work but it'll bother me every time I shoot it.

    Halfstock, Flintlock Hawkens??

While not a Samuel or Jacob Hawken this William Hawken rifle is a full stock percussion rifle. I did some digging one time to prove a point to my boss and found that even in 1837 the trade companies were importing "rifle flints" and "gun flints". Granted they could be trading with the natives...
