Over-powder wad - oversize or to bore?

Or, you could make your own wad cutter. Drill a hole in the end of some tool steel round stock, grind a cutting edge on the stock, grind the side out above the cutting edge, then cut the punch to the length you desire and heat treat the cutting part. It will work better than anything you can...

    Why Kibler

I built three of the Kibler kits and ordered a Woodsrunner. When I got it, it was the wrong caliber and a lower stock grade. I had a whale of a time getting it corrected. Finally gave up and got my money back and had to struggle with them to get that to happen. Be careful with these folks...

    Best lead for casting ball?

There is a guy on this list that sells really nice SOFT lead for a good price. He is Justin.44. I have bought a lot of lead from him over the years and it has always been good soft lead. I don't even bother to try to salvage wheel weights anymore. Too much zinc in them and it's easy for me...

    Kentucky lock replacement

5/8 x 5/8 fits most all of the Pedersolis as far as my experience goes. That's the Kentucky Silver Star, Frontier, Pennsylvania and Hawken Target.

    Kentucky lock replacement

L&R is your best option in my opinion. I have replaced them with Pedersoli locks and most of them spark well. Ever so often, you'll get one like yours and re-hardening the frizzen is the first thing I'd try. If you can get an L&R, then that's the fix that will last and work the best. It...

    Pedersoli poor quality

I have a few Pedersoli products and they are all pretty decent. Good fit and finish, but I have a couple that aren't so nice in the locks. I also some Kibler rifles and would chose any one of them over the Pedersoli guns, You might want to consider a Kibler if you can return that Pedersoli...

So how are you supposed to fill this powder canister?

Ted Cash Mfg sells a funnel that will thread right in where the spout goes. Works great.

What's going on with Dixie Gunworks

DGW has really done well with shipping now. Orders I've made lately have all shipped on the next working day. They are the best place to deal with now. Always have been nice folks and always ship good stuff.

SOLD Colt Pattern Powder Flask (Reduced)

Nice flask, too bad about the bump on it. I wonder if that can not be tapped out with a rod through the top.

FOR SALE Ruger Old Army with extras

That is one very nice Ruger. If I didn't have one already, I'd be owning that one. I've bought from this seller in the past and every purchase has been in excellent condition and better than described. I enjoyed every purchasing experience.
