    Thanks Zonie, You may be right, I seem to remember that a few of the pre-cut patches kind of pulled apart in my hands as I was loading. How far do the patches typically travel? I looked a couple of times for my fired patches but didn't find any. Best regards,

    "I've tried .495s with thin patches in my .50, and I definitely have gone back to .490s with cut-at-the-muzzle pillow ticking.
