    Carrying Heavy Revolvers

    A number of years ago while panning I came across a gent that had a gen 2 Colt Walker. He had a holster on his left hip with a adjustable wide leather strap that went over his right shoulder much like carrying a shoulder bag. He seemed very comfortable carrying the handgun that way.

    Revolver Capper

    Cappers do not fit all revolvers. My 1895 revolvers are one that the inline or bulk cappers do not fit. The Polish capper is one capper that will fit the 1895s.

    Blown nipple.

    I have a Sante Fe as well. Interestingly enough the threads on that one has also being going sideways as well. Not sure why as I have always measured my nipples from day one and kept a log. I too am looking at retapping the threads to something larger. I will now look at the 7x1 nipple.

    Kowa scope a-peel.........

    State side we have the same issue with the old 821 with the outer coating getting sticky and coming off. Some scopes returned to Kowa were in turn sent to kowa in Japan refurbished and returned looking brand new.
