Could someone tell me what they think this is?

That barrel appears to be jug choked. That would explain the annular ridges (mill marks) beginning just below the crown. I'm certain one of the many knowledgeable people here can give advice on smoothing out that 3-4" area, if indeed that is the case.

    Kevin Blevins flintlocks

OK, with that being said, here's mine. I had been contemplating a French fusil for a few years when I caught a thumbnail of a gun Kevin had built a few years earlier. I asked him to copy it but with my specs. 5 months later I got exactly what I asked for. A simple fusil that I think looks...

Here we go again. Seventeen polite and civil exchanges contemplating the skill, merit, and integrity of a particular craftsman and someone tries to make it a rugby scrum. Yeah! From Poland,Europe

Has anyone noticed that Andy88 hasn't returned since July 2019, two days after he joined? I don't believe he's getting all of our "Welcomes," however graciously we intend them.

Well now I get wait (new smoothbore).

It is a beautiful and not too common piece. I've read they balance and shoot remarkably well. I can't understand that it was overlooked before. I really thought someone very notable would have some thoughts here.

Jess kinda looks like she's laying a guilt trip on you. The picture is priceless. How old is she?

    Whodunit: Death by Hunters Pudding

It's tough to diagnose, given just one symptom. Since it was 1829 I'm sure they employed all the latest technology; blood-letting, leaches, etc.

    Amusing/Ridiculous Muzzleloading Misconceptions...

That’s a good way to get your hand shot off with a BB gun! I’ll bet that guy isn’t even wearing an orange vest.
