    Shot snake spout attachment?

I have this spout for a shot snake I would like to use, but I can't quite figure out how it's supposed to be attached. Any advice on how to do it would be greatly appreciated.

    Shot Snake Finished

That's a great looking shot snake. I have the spout, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to mount it. Would you be willing to post some detail photos and a description of how you did yours?

    Boundary county Idaho members

Your way up north in Idaho. I live in the middle of Lemhi County. It feels like I'm the only one around these parts that likes to use black powder.

    My first pheasant!

    It's a Pedersoli 12g.

    My first pheasant!

Pheasant came into season this weekend. After two days of walking through waist high grass and trying to not fall into the marshy banks. I managed to get my first pheasant. I missed about 4 or 5 of them before connecting with one. Either my wing shooting skills are lacking or I need to do a lot...

    A good day grouse hunting.

Here is a slightly related question. I got myself another one over the weekend and have the skin pinned out and covered in borax. I want to save to use the feathers for tying flies. How long should I leave it in the borax before it's done?

    A good day grouse hunting.

I find it amusing this post started over a grouse hunt and now we're talking about restoring old cast iron cookware. 😂

That looks like a nice area close to the Canadian border. I'm not sure I will be able make it that far north this year. I live in the Lemhi county area. I'm sorry your stuck in the hospital. I hope you recover soon enough to get some hunting done this year.

It's an inexpensive modern lodge. I would like to get my hands on some older good quality cast iron cookware. It just hasn't happened yet.

This one turned out quite fine. Definitely enough for two meals. The link to the recipe will follow the photo. Pan roasted grouse.

    Musketeer is correct. It's a 12 gauge.

These two were a good size. The second one was bigger. I should have taken a photo of it. I could easily feed 2 people with each of them.

Grouse are in season here in Idaho. I had a good day chasing them with my pedersoli shotgun. I managed to take 2 of them and saw some mule deer. Now I need to find a good recipe for them.

    12 gauge load confusion.

Thanks for the into and advice. I have shot, cards, some wads (I'm curious to see how they behave and the ones I found in stock are thick enough I can cut them down as I see fit), and shot, on order. Once it all comes in, I will take it the range and see what works.

Unfortunately, I don't see anything like what you describe on the underside of the barrels. Here are a few pictures of the markings that are there.
