    Gardening ..again

I read somewhere that having a few black chickens help kept hawks and owl away also.

    Gardening ..again

I bought mine for crow hunting. That and a recording of a owl fighting with crows would bring in near by crows. Only time that owl Halloween decoration worked for anything.

    Gardening ..again

I'm trying that and something less this time . The plastic trash barrel worked ( got dirt cheap at a auction) got to make sure vines don't hang down to the ground though. Yes it's a lot of extra work. Probably could buy at store cheaper, but what fun is that?

    Gardening ..again

I think and hope Indiana doesn't have gophers ,at least not like the ones out west have. These mice have another name because how big they are. I call them field mice. I kill them daily in the spring and summer. Kill them weekly in the barns. For some reason there are no snakes around, stray...

    Gardening ..again

I can't plant potatoes or sweet potatoes in the ground because of mice. First time I grew sweet potatoes, planted in rose like they said to do they were big but mice got them first. Last year planted them in 32 gal. Trash barrels and it work pretty good. Even did it with regular potatoes.

2024 cap update, bad and the bad

I just saw these at Rual king in Kokomo indiana yesterday. Have no ideal if they could work on a real BP gun. Would have bought some to try if I had a need for caps or had some kid to give them to if they didn't work

    Gardening ..again

I have grown them for several years here in Indiana. They do get big and are tasty. We don't think they are high in acid. The one big problem with heirloom tomatoes is when they get close to being ripe pick them then , they over ripe real fast and go bad. Second is the plant dies early .

I read that baking soda is great for gardening and a organic bug killer. Epson salt is great for pepper plants and asparagus.

    .36 Colt Navy that powerful??????

one big problem with people having those big powerful guns for home defense is where will that bullet go and how far if you miss. Who might actually be shot or killed. What would happen to you if that bullet killed or wounded a innocent person?

Home defense black powder shotgunhome defense black powder shotgun

I'm not sure, but the one of the main reason for coming up with smokeless powder was to do away with the smoke, not because of lack of power it produced . No matter how hidden you thought you where after you started shooting everyone knew your hidding spot .

    .36 vs. .44 "Stopping Power"

I did that type of testing myself and posted here on this forum. Said few people know the power of black powder. The problem is we are talking to to many paper target shooters and mocho people, that if it doesn't hurt after you shoot you aren't using enough powder or not using a big enough gun .
