    WANTED Smoothbore

I have a Thompson Renegade .56 SB, in pretty decent shape, bore is pristine...two new unused molds...several balls I've sourced. I'll never shoot it. Both shoulders are now wrecked. If that is in your interest area, let me know, I'll get a price and photos, well below your stated price for sure.

    SOLD Double Barrel Flintlock

    Well...that's amazing! Nice piece.

SOLD .50 caliber percussion double rifle, probably CVA

Maybe they would converge a bit closer at a longer distance? Or have you already explored that?

SOLD Pietta 1858 NMA Remington 5.5" .44 LNIB

I was just about to say that....😲 Good snag.

WITHDRAWN Professional Custom Built 4 Bore Elephant Rifle

Awesome in every respect.... I know it doesn't recoil, but they are already trying to sell me a shoulder replacement. Anyone who is even thinking about such a rifle better snap it up. You doubtfully will see another.

    Hard ball??

Thanks guys...good to know... I didn't see how it could be a problem, but I've thought that before.😄 Tomorrow I cast!!

    Hard ball??

Since I won't be hunting, and there's no rifling to "engrave"...is there any reason not to cast some balls out of the same lead I'm using for my other bullets to shoot with a patch? Thanks... Just got my mold today...pot is still full of WW.

    TC Renegade 56 SB?

Just picked one up today, first smoothbore. About opposite from what I usually see...some rust spots on the barrel, trigger guard is rusted pretty good...bore is pristine. I guess I'm stuck with it..might as well shoot it. In my brief scan through some posts here, I gather I need either a .535...

    Hammer hitting frame?

Yes, the red circle. Brand new gun... I'll address both issues before I attempt to shoot it. Hadn't even noticed the other, thanks for the heads up. Probably ought to take it completely down and see if anything else is going on...in good light. ;-)

    Hammer hitting frame?

Thanks! I just found a source for shims if that doesn't work. Miscellaneous Shims toward the bottom of the page. I'll try your suggestion first. Appreciate it.

    Hammer hitting frame?

Just got a Uberti 1858 target model and noticed that when the hammer is dropped it strikes the frame unless held to the right. It's loose enough it doesn't require much pressure. The hammer has not been dropped, by me, anyway...shim it?? You can see where it's hitting on the left side...little...

    Order Up!

I'll try both. His bullet looks a lot like the LBT 220 RNB (round nose ball) I use in my 1911s, which has been the most accurate I've used. I like to try new things. 😁 Interesting video, great reviews...
