    Caywood jug choke

Here is some history on it.I have just finished reading an English translation of Espingarda Perfeyta (The Perfect Gun) first published in Portugal in 1718. Even in English this book takes some interpretation, but I think that a form of "jug" or "relief" choke boring is clearly discussed. Bird...

    Another CVA Mountain Rifle Question

Gunbroker has one in 45 cal for 330 + 50 shipping and Track of the Wolf has a T/C Renegade in 50 cal for 299 and one in 54 cal for 399 + shipping on both. For the price definitely go for the T/C but depends what you can get the CVA for also.

    Another CVA Mountain Rifle Question

If your going to keep it go for it but unless you can get a smoking deal on it probably not going to make a lot on it.T/C holds their price pretty good but not so CVA. But an excellent first gun for someone.

    Nipples for my SXS

Chuck them in a drill with a bit of emery cloth, check fit and continue.Easier to keep everything all round with a drill than a grinder.

    TVM Fowler

I have one in L/H and really like it.Shoots very well and did not have to do anything with the trigger but I suppose I could hone it up one of these days. They come with a front sight only, possibly could request a rear one if you wanted it.I think the only changes I would do, would of been to...

    Finally got a flintlock

If I am not mistaken,Pete Allan makes various parts for muzzleloaders, castings and such.Looks like you got a hold of a custom made muzzleloader, looks pretty good but as someone else said, unless you really like it I would lose the snake.

    Remington 1816 Commemorative Flintlock Rifle

Seems kinda pricey for an unknown gun. If I was going to do that kind of money I would buy one from Tip Curtis in the white and finish it myself. Then you would at least know who made the parts and have top quality parts in it.
