    Rifle Purchase

I owned one similar in the 70’s as a kid. Alum alloy receiver, decent but plain wood and a marginal barrel. Actually, had a hole from the stock attachment penetrate the barrel. Not really much of a shooter but a good looking rifle. The real issue was the breech/receiver interface...

Man Who Stole Johann Christian Oerter Rifle Sentenced

It appears this guy had done this several times; many more I’m sure we’ll never know about. He should make and complete restitution; then, once the victims have been compensated. Hang him.

    What did I buy????

Thanks guys. No proof marks, just a 11 and a breech/barrel alignment scribe. Interesting piece in good shape. It’s got me stumped some. No other marking except same name in rear of lock plate. I’d think Someone would be proud of their craftsmanship. It shows nice.

    Plum barrel brown refinisher

I’ve used it and I get a chocolate brown. Not what I’m really looking for. Something more like the plum of Pedersoli rifles, if possible.

    Plum barrel brown refinisher

Just want the look of a plum brown traditional finish; if it’s ttruly a cerakote on Pedersolis guns, it’s a damn nice finish. I’d be proud to have it on my rifles.

    Plum barrel brown refinisher

not sure where to post this. I recently acquired a nice flint target rifle, custom rifle that needs to be re-plum browned. Also a sight dovetail filled. I want a true plum brown, similar to a “God forbid” Pedersoli finish. Anyone out there that could help me find a excellent barrel browner...

FOR SALE Wesson Style .45 Rifle

I had one of these as a teenager, 50 years ago. Forgot about the trigger till just now. Once the barrel was lapped, it shot pretty good. Won my very first prize with it, at a local match, actually 2nd at 100 yds x-sticks. My prize was a case of beer. Ah, those were the days. How things...
