    lead melting pots recommendation

I've been using a 20lb capacity Waage for nearly 30 years. Thermostat went out a couple years ago. Now have it hooked to a PID controller and hopefully will last me till I go to that big shooting range in the sky.

    Thanks USPS

This is why everyone using the internet should be using a VPN. Upsets some internet sites and they will say you need to turn it off to access them, that's their loss.

It’s amazing what new info we are constantly learning about history.

Some of you guys need to lighten up a little. It's Satire nothing was meant to be factual or accurate about it. It's supposed to be funny. The guy has nearly a hundred videos like this on his channel. Looking at his views he's probably making a good living off of it also.

    Best lead for casting ball?

Rotometals is having a sale now. They always have a sale on all major holidays. Been buying from them for years now. Luckily I bought when the prices were somewhat lower and have several hundred pounds on hand. Muzzleloader balls are the smallest portion of my casting.

    Iridescent balls

Can't believe it took a page and a half nearly to get the correct answer. It's simply way too hot. Put a thermometer in there and I would bet your way over 1000 degrees.

Should I reach out to builder or adjust at home? Gap between lock and barrel

Should I reach out to builder or adjust at home? Gap between lock and barrel

The makers name is plainly visible on the top barrel flat. Which by the way looks crooked also. I have one of his guns (it's in my profile picture) and yes I fixed a couple things on it that weren't correct, but this is way beyond that.

Should I reach out to builder or adjust at home? Gap between lock and barrel

Why would anyone recommend the OP fixes this. He paid for a correctly finished product and obviously got a piece of garbage instead. This builder has been called out so many times they should be out of business by now. If the one I received from them were anywhere near that bad I would of...

What kind of stuff do you all read?

If you like Watership Down you should read Duncton Wood. Currently reading That Dark and Bloody River by Eckert that chronicles the settling of the Ohio River Valley. I was born near the banks of the Ohio River and lived there a large portion of my life. Interesting to recognize names that are...

The Spread Eagle Inn and Tavern est. 1836 WARNING pic heavy!

When we lived in Ohio the wife and I spent a night there once. Was only about an hour and fifteen minutes away. Very awesome place to visit. Highly recommend it. Of course that was 20 or so years ago. Though it looks like not much has changed.

Make sure of the law where you are. These are not legal here.

Ask help to cast my first round balls

One thing that no one has said so far is that if you're going to melt lead over a flame source without temperature regulation you must absolutely have a thermometer to measure the lead temperature. Lead melts at 621 degrees. An unregulated flame heat source can easily get your lead to over 1000...
