I was born and raised in North Carolina. I graduated from Appalachian State Univ. and taught high school social studies and mathematics for 5 years. I married my school sweetheart and we have one daughter. I became an electrical contractor specializing in industrial construction and maintenance. After 30 years, I sold the business and retired to Florida. I have two grandchildren. I have enjoyed most all disciplines of shooting for most of my life. My interest in muzzleloading was rekindled when my wife gave me a kit rifle to build.
