I tried that load and it was ok but l worked up to 50 grain ffg and two over shot cards 75 gr # 5 shot and a over shot card on top of that and got a pattern that’s was good for squirrel to 25 yards witch is 5 pieces of shot in a 4 in circle
I picked up a t c Hawken kit 50 cal with all parts and directions for 50 bucks and later found a pietta 1860 army in excellent condition with balls flask and inline capper for 75 bucks .i also have found several original flask and powder horns and ball molds
Yes I know what you mean I have three tc hawkin 50 c a l one I got when I was 16 my dad left me his and I found one in a kit from 1990 at a flea market for 50 bucks last year I couldn’t turn that down.
No problem. When I ordered mine I asked if they offed a Smoothbore KATHRYN said they had just received some smooth bore bore barrels in 54 58 . Got the walnut stock they had every thing there I received it in ten days they are great people to work with and sell a great rifle
