Good time to join the NMLRA!

I think the problems with the magazine could be that it has published for such a long period of time that the majority of muzzle loading topics have been covered. The earlier years had most of the things that you want to read about, but the publishers can't keep rehashing old topics. I too would...

    Is the drought over?

Some of the people I've seen in the local Cabelas don't have the knowledge to look up anything on the company computers.

    A strange 'modification' to a Parker-Hale rifle

Whitworth cap screws have been available for years. Back in 1961 I purchased a BSA twin, it came with phillips head screws around the primary chain cover and knowing I would be removing the cover frequently I did what any good american boy would do. I purchased whitworth allen head cap screws...

Experience with .32 on steel targets?

Shot a pure lead round ball from a Ruger old army at a cylindrical dryer barrel (sheet metal) distance 50 yards, ball bounced back and struck me in the upper thigh. Hurt like hell, but no penetration. Lesson learned there.

    Old locks.

Look closer, the bottom lock is not identical to the top one. The distance from the hammer screw to the back end of the lock is longer and the end taper is different.

    Barrel rebore service

Lee Shaver does that also, have heard nothing but good about him. Going to have him make my Winchester Hi-wall .325 ssm into a .40-65 BPCR after the first of the year.

    Superfine powder difference?

I have a powder horn made in 1782 with a sealed end plug. The side of the horn is engraved "1782 SuperFyne Powder FF". As far as I can tell the seal on the horn has never been broken. I would post a picture of the horn, but it is at my mother-in-laws house 2 blocks away.

    Hopkins and Allen .45 underhammer

Had a buggy rifle for years, had to let ti go when I got laid off several years ago. Been trying to buy another ever since, even got scammed here on the forum trying to buy one. Buy it, it's a fun gun all round!!

WANTED Lyman OLD #457125 bullet mould

I need one of the old style lyman #457125 moulds. They have been revised over the years and the newer ones will not work for me. The blocks have only numerals stamped in them, no letters. Also would like to find the matching top punch for the Lyman sizing press. Thank you in advance, jim
