Powder charge. How much powder do you use.

Here is one method. It is based on the volume of each barrel: cubic in of the barrel for powder .50 cal Divided by 2 = .25 .25(squarded) X .25 = .0625 .0625 X 3.1416 (Pi) = .19635 .19635 X 11.5 = 2.258 grain per cu in of bore so it works out for a 32 inch barrel to 72.25 grains

Powder charge. How much powder do you use.

With small variations based on grain size, black power burns at a fixed rate. What needs to be determined is the amount of powder that will burn in the barrel of your rifle without any leftover to burn beyond the muzzle. The variable affecting the calculation is the caliber of the bore. So...

    How old are ya?

As your personal experiences grow with your age, you learn from what you have seen that it doesn't matter how old you are. What actually matters is how old you act.

    Manipulating choke performance

With older damascus barreled shotguns the gauges weren't limited to even numbers. It is not uncommon to find 13, 14, or 15 gauge barrels. In this case, where it is reported that the chokes on a 16 gauge are full/full, it is very possible that they are 15 gauge cylinder bores or something similiar.

    Manipulating choke performance

Someone needs to verify that the barrels are actually choked as stated. A measurement of the bores ahead of the chokes needs to be determined. They might tight bores without chokes at all.

    Anyone recognize this rifle

It is not for you to guess, it is for the seller to provide. Unless the seller comes up with something to identify it in particular, you should assume that it is an assembled collection of parts.

WANTED Opinion On a Classified Ad

Multiple guns on a single listing would be fine as long as they were being sold as a single lot. What is not allowed is an ad for a "this" and for a "that" which requires two seperate transactions to complete the sales.

Muzzle Loading Guns, 1970's and 1980's

Getting older seems to have a common effect. What I used to do all day, now takes me all day to work up the motivation to do it.

    Is it LOADED?

There is only one direction to point a gun when you are with a group of people. You keep it pointed straight up and/or, if it is a handgun, holstered.
