    Sidelock hammer screw.

No offense taken by me. I think people understand the question but are trying to understand why the screw would break. I can understand the hammer taking shock and possibly breaking but I still have a hard time seeing how that screw would take any shock unless there was side force on the head...

    Sidelock hammer screw.

Nice attitude, I'm sure you'll get a lot of help, By the way I've never had any issues with TC screws. Not sure why the end of the screw would even break off. It shouldn't be under any kind of stress during shooting.

    Wilson 1821 lock

Sounds like you have an English lock made by Wilson for a trade gun. The book ' For Trade and Treaty' has good info as does 'The Encyclopedia of Trade Goods Firearms Volume 1' from the Museum of the Fur Trade. Also search this forum for posts from member @Rob M. He has posted pics of originals...

    browning

I found that using finer finishing grits to polish the barrel didn't help. I'd try roughing it up from the 320 you used to 220 grit or so. You could try this on a bottom surface so if you don't like the result it won't be seen since you've already polished to finer grit.

    Handmade entry pipe question

Anyone who's made a handmade entry pipe, how did the transition from pipe to tab look? My first attempt here. I feel like there is too much slope in the transition. Figured I'd get opinions before wasting a chunk of brass.
