What is your favorite wax for your stock?

I've used Gun Glow from Shiloh for almost 15 years as the final wipedown on all wood and metal for almost 15 years. A little bit goes a long way. I'm only on my second bottle.

    The Romance of Flintlocks

Some great words of wisdom and beauty above. I'll add that I get a big kick out of the looks of astonishment I get at my range (pretty much only me and my buddy shoot flintlocks) and even more when they come over to admire it and then I get to ask, "Do you want to shoot it"? Those big eyes and...

    Black Powder Revolvers - Antiques

Oh I get that. In recent years we now have UBC, hi-cap mag bans and AWB. I was just curious where he was seeing those other restrictions now in our neck of the woods.

    Black Powder Revolvers - Antiques

I also live in PNW (WA). None of those things are outlawed here. And I don't go through an FFL for them either. Where exactly is all that happening for you?

    Brad Emig Cabin Creek Muzzleloading

I recently had lock and trigger work done on a double flint shotgun. Brad could not have been better in terms of communication (both quality and time taken to discuss the project), price, quality of the work, and turnaround time (app 2 weeks). I'll certainly be using Cabin Creek in the future.

Looking for opinions/suggestions on prime-all formulation and use

So far I've made just about a thousand using the #11 die. They've been working with 95% success on my Uberti 51, 58, 60 and Dragoon. The Dragoon has the factory nipples; the others are all Slix shots. My technique: Skip the tan binder bag and mix the others per the instructions. Spend the...

Pedersoli SXS 20ga flint shotgun review

Recently, on a lark and a "dare" I bought two Pedersoli SXS 20 ga Standard Model flint shotguns for us "3 Amigos" skeet buddies to share to see if we could hit some skeet with them. I was a bit skeptical as I've had less than stellar results with Pedersoli flintlocks, but I'm fortunate enough...
