    A rifle that needs swabbed after every shot on a woodswalk??

    I’ve been using Mink oil for lube and consistently developed a crude ring after 3-4 shots. Changed to diluted Dawn and now everything is smooth as silk with good accuracy.

    When we were lads we messed around making black powder. Made a bomb and tested it on a small wooden bridge in a public park. Blew to he@@. Oh well. I Guess our bomb was a little hot. Run for home.

    That’s a fat flint. Try a thinner flint. May fit the jaws better.
