    Leonard Day swivel gun .40 - need help to make a correct ramrod

    I was able to turn both the hickory ends to correct diameter about .356" on lathe and then I mad a die to run the rest of rod thru to match diameters with a little sanding to match and came out ok. I had a piece of 3/8" brass around. I did this for free as a challenge for my nephews friend...

    Threaded rod extends up into rod 3". I had to expand dents out of 2 of the ferrules as the gun had been dropped or banged around without a rod in place. Person is satisfied with it.
