    Pyrodex RS - how long can it be left in cylinders??

    Please at least use Pyrodex P in your pistolas, not RS. P is for pistols, RS is for rifles/shotguns.

    I swab with isopropyl alcohol after every 3 shots. Never had any problem.

    Nice haul! I would assume the white waxy stuff is lube for patches. Im sorry I cant help identify your GPR but im pretty sure if you can post pics someone here can tell you aplenty. I have found the folks here to be a wellspring of knowledge on all things BP-related.

    Maybe disassemble it and do your own visual inspection of the breech plug, breech of the barrel, and threads on the plug and the barrel. I might also inspect the nipple threads and drum threads if you can. The gun appears very well taken care of and I cant imagine any part of the inside looking...
