My .54 rifle prefers 2f, 100gr pushing .530 rb at almost 1800 fps. The .54 pistol likes 3f better. Same rb, 40 gr powder. Hits what I needs it to at 20yd.
40" rods from gold tip shafts can be fabricated with 2 broadhead adapters and a piece of threaded rod. screw the 2 shafts together and cut to length.
Or use a short section of dowel and 2 part epoxy to join them.
I ordered the Blue Ridge from Cabela's, Summer of 16. When it arrived, in the box was a Frontier. I just shrugged it off, figured they were the same gun with a different name. To me they kinda sorta resemble the Hatfield.
1. After load work up. Fire shot at target. "X"
2. Aim at "X" again. Clamp rifle in that position
with sights locked on "X"
3. Adjust sights to first bullet hole.
4. Un-clamp rifle from bench.
5. Fire 2 more shots.
If your final 2 shots tickle the first one, you are sighted in. No math...
