    Black Squirrels

I used to squirrel hunt in central west Michigan. It was fairly common to take a couple of black squirrels each season. Due to health issues, I've given up all hunting. Around my house there are many fox squirrels. A couple of females up the street feed the squirrels corn and goobers. Guess what...

Question for the "old guys"...Is it just me or are there others?

I have a similar problem. The ranges around here are too far away. Instead of making a short trip to the range it takes 45 minutes each way. Kind of takes something out of the fun of shooting.

    Need Advice On Brown Bess

Another option: Access Heritage. India made Bess's for $599. I bought a 3rd model and it's not perfect but for $599 it's pretty darn good.

Current options for a long land pattern bess?

Anybody try Access Heritage? I bought a 3rd model Brown Bess for $549. Fit and finish isn't all that great but I've seen worse. The cool thing is they are shipped without the flash hole drilled. That way they are not firearms.

    Leaving powder in the barrel

Back a bunch of years ago when I was a deer hunter I would leave my rifle out in the truck. That way it didn't have a moisture problem from bringing cold steel into warm moist house.

    Mineral Oil

Recently I watched a video about different products for cleaning and lubricating firearms. The guy on the video said that most gun oils are based on mineral oil with different additives to make it smell like something really awesome. I've been trying it on some of my guns for a while and...
